New York - The New York electronic dance music scene is uniting for one special night at Canal Room (285 West Broadway) to help provide relief to those affected by the December 26 Tsunami in Asia and Africa. For one special night, all the artists have donated their services and 100% of the door proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross. Canal Room has generously donated their space and a one hour open bar to kick off the night.

Please join us in this important cause and be thankful for the friends, dancing & music that we can all share, while we help those in need. We’d like to thank all those who donated their time, money & efforts in advance for this important cause.

All proceeds are to benefit the American Red Cross International Response Fund for the victims affected by the tsunamis and the humanitarian crisis they have created in South Asia and East Africa. The immediate American Red Cross focus is on getting lifesaving help to millions affected by the tsunamis.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

SATOSHI TOMIIE is a DJ among giants since joining DEF Mix alongside FRANKIE KNUCKLES & David Morales. His 1989 collaboration "Tears" with FRANKIE KNUCKLES propelled him into vocal house music history and since then he has co-founded SAW.Recordings with HECTOR ROMERO. Satoshi was the first American based DJ to be asked to record an album for International label Global Underground’s Nubreed series, aptly named for working with a new caliber of leading cutting edge DJs. He recently released the first compilation on SAW.Recordings titled UNDULATION 1 and continues to tour internationally at a heady pace.

HECTOR ROMERO is a true DJ. From his early days in the Bronx, it has taken years to shed the “Baby Hec” moniker. He went on to DJ at New York City’s legendary clubs and underground spots such as Save the Robots, The Red Zone, famed Palladium, and the Roxy. Over time, Hector found he was not as interested in Remixing or Producing but he loved the balance between the creative DJ and the businessman, A&R, and working on the business end of Music. Since co-founding and managing the business side of SAW.Recordings, Hector remains at the cutting edge of house music and his DJ sets are sprinkled with the latest gems from the underground. Hector can currently be heard at his residencies at Club World Award nominees Stereo (Montreal) and Sullivan Room (New York).

The LOW END SPECIALISTS have continued to deliver tough 21st century tribal house, infused with a progressive international flavor, but powered by a distinct New York energy and class. After enjoying their first Billboard number 1 hit with their remix of Janet Jackson’s "All Nite (Don't Stop)" in July 2004; they have continued their roll with new remixes of Juliet's "Avalon" and her second single "Ride The Pain" both due for release on Virgin Records. They are also currently working on remixes for EMI & Atlantic artists, and there is high anticipation for the March release of their new single Power Station on Toolroom records which has already received huge support from John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo & Desyn Masiello. Throughout their busy studio schedule they have continued to maintain a rigorous tour diary.

STEVE PORTER is one of the leading artists in the next generation of electronic music DJs/producers. His prolific productions have garnered the attention of the top ranks including Sasha, Derrick Carter, Felix da Housecat et al. and are propelling him into America’s future electronic dance music star. After 50 singles and over 28 remixes to date, Steve is poised for his official coming out party with his debut artist album ‘Homegrown’ on FDS Recordings in 2005 with a North American album tour in February & March 2005.
