You got the scene? We got your deejays.
Since 1995 Deejaybooking.com provides artists to the festival and club promoters with the most complete service available on the dance scene. Our respect for the artists, for the public and for the organisations made of this agency one of the leading hubs for international deejay booking, as well in House Music as in Electro, Techno or Experimental Electronic, and as well for major stars as for upcoming talents.
Without that trust and confidency, we could not list names such as Felix Da Housecat, PAUL JOHNSON, Junior Jack & Kid Creme, Robert Owens, Juan Atkins, SHARAM JEY, DR KUCHO, Kurtis Mantronik, 100% Isis, MARCELLO, Milk and Sugar or Angelo. Check our 100 artist references on Deejaybooking.com, with audiomix+picture+biography for each of them.
A bit of history: Deejaybooking.com was created by Youri Cocquyt, who started of as a promoter in the late eighties, early nineties (88-92) with the Decadance parties promoting late New Beat and early House music. From 1992-1996 he ran the company 'Dance Promotion' promoting the international Dance music in Belgium. He ran Dance Promotion together with his partner Gregory Lacour mainly developing the 'Rave Explosion' party concept, a pioneer organisation in the development of the techoscene in Belgium. With the Rave explosion he introduced many upcoming International producers for the first time in Belgium. Some of the main deejays were Jeff Mills, Blake Baxter, Stacey Pullen, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Luke Slater, Robert Hood and Sven Väth.
The respect he gained from his initiaves as a party organiser led Youri Cocquyt to become the head of the Dance department at Play It Again Sam Records in Brussels, the home of his idols Front 242. A boys dream come true. In the years that he worked for PIAS he was overseeing the labelmanagement of labels such as Warp, Dance Opera and Mowax. In his second year at P.I.A.S., he also created and developed together with Felix da Housecat the legendary Chicago house label Radikal Fear producing 22 releases of artists Spanky, Mike Dunn, Armando (R.I.P.), Roy Davis Jnr. , DJ Sneak, K Alexi Shelby, Johnny Fiasco, Harrison Crump and of course Felix da Housecat himself. End 1996 Youri left P.I.A.S and created his own record company Future Sound Productions later to become Audiopolis distribution mainly focussing on distribution of records from both indie and major recordlabels in both Belgium and online. Under the FSP structure Youri also created and developed the Detroit techno label Elypsia Records producing albums and singles of Stacey Pullen, Kenny Larkin, Dan Curtin and Claude Young.
Ever evolving, dynamic, creative and inspired by his experiences and the relationship he had built with his artists, Youri decided in the summer of 1998 that it was time to go his own way and completely indipendent, creating the artist management and production company S.O.U.L. Management. Initially SM started of with a series of club events in order to promote the launch of its online booking agency Deejaybooking.com, which by now has become one of the leading agencies on the international deejay booking market. Other projects recently launched by SM are the record label SOUL MGMT Records, the publishing company SOUL MGMT Music and in the making is the DEEJAYMIXES.COM [www.deejaymixes.com] a b2c website which will commercialize DJ Mixes in both MP3 and CD format.
All this is precisely why Deejaybooking.com knows well the promoters expectations, their needs, their rights... a deep link for a better result.
Our duty:
the best artist for the best crowd with the best conditions.
Now Deejaybooking.com has an international purpose by beeing exclusive for more and more artists from UK, France, USA, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia, ... the reason why a special showcase has to come up at the coming Amsterdam Dance Event: to promote the biggest references and to underline the new public trends.
But not only that, because now Deejaybooking.com also starts the music label 'SoulMgmt rec', with as first release the future classic "Bahia" by BAMBOOLA PROD. (maybe you already heard it as a prerelease in South of Europe).
