From the spirit of the French touch sound Defected present the debut album of the new, extraordinary rising star MARTIN SOLVEIG.

'Sur la Terre' is an extraordinary album - this collection of tracks is a culmination of Martin's past work to date.

It is a fusion of different influences from heavy jazz and electro beats to the spoken word and relentless and beautifully arranged percussion.

Housey in parts, funk fuelled in others, the album features some monumental tracks including 'Rocking Music' which has been a smash record catapulting Martin into the for front of the dance scene.

This album is full of soul, world music, disco and hip-hop. With excellent lyrics and melodies, 'Sur La Terre' is a fantastic mixture of live and electronic music This album will work dancefloors as well as it will entertain you wherever else it is played.

This is not just a collection of house tracks. In Martin's own opinion he says his philosophy is that he "wants to be remembered for more than a few looped samples and fully intends to produce energetic non-electronic music, while bearing in mind the assets of dance music genres rhythm and efficacy".
