Public voting commences on January 20th online via DanceStar.com where over 1 million consumers and industry members are expected to vote. The show’s host, featured presenters and performances together with television broadcast details will be announced shortly.

Andy Ruffell, CEO and Founder of DanceStar said: “ The growth of DanceStar USA since we launched the show in 2002 has been incredible, and for 2004 we will be further crossing electronic music into the mainstream with a major focus on collaborations between chart stars and DJ’s / dance acts like last year with Bootsy Collins and DIRTY VEGAS. We are going full steam into the mainstream TV market and we will be announcing a significant US broadcast shortly”

DanceStar USA will launch the first annual magazine of The American Dance Music Awards to support this year’s show. The 100-page pocket-sized publication will represent the best in American dance music from the past year. The magazine is being produced by DanceStar’s Ben Turner – founder / editor of Muzik and Pacha magazines. Over 60,000 copies will be distributed free in Borders stores nationwide from March 1st. A further 20,000 copies will be distributed in South Florida during the annual Winter Music Conference week.

Hip-hop superstar P. Diddy stole the show with a world premier performance of his first ever dance track ‘Lets Get Ill’ featuring Kelis, which has subsequently been reported as the most significant dance track in years.
