RICHARD HUMPTY VISSION is set to shatter the sound barrier once again with his 8th mix CD, BIG FLOOR FUNK, representing Vission’s latest reinvention of his signature progressive funk and bangin’ house style.

Due out March 2004, the 60 minute, 30+ track DJ mix features the video for RHV's new single "Never Let Me Down", as well as three other all new Vission originals and remixes, including “Sexy” (featuring STATIC REVENGER), “Higher,” and “Been A Long Time.” From the brand new "Born Too Slow" by THE CRYSTAL METHOD to "Soul Shine" by DMC champion DJ CRAZE and the Andrea Doria anthem "Bucci Bag (RHV Remix)," Vission’s high-energy banging mixes create an unstoppable force sure to put this 500,000+ unit selling DJ on the top of the charts once again.

Vission’s original productions in the mix give fans a taste of the goods to come on his artist album, and add a unique element to BIG FLOOR FUNK that can’t be heard anywhere else. Sexy was conceived by RHV while he was in New York: “It’s a tribute to all the sexy women in the world”. “Higher” is Vission’s latest chunky bass-driven beat-fest, featuring echoing reggae vocal loops intertwined with raw guitar-fueled riffs. “Been A Long Time” twists big beats into rock ‘n roll and filtered rhymes into an ecstatic explosion. And you can’t miss “Never Let Me Down,” the unforgettable lead single that, with its frenzied buildup of jazzy sax licks and rubberband loops, will ignite your heart and soul as well as the dance floor. Featuring the vocal stylings of Chico Bennett, the track will make you believe that “everything is all right” and “the music will never let you down.”

With nearly 20 years of music experience, Vission got his start in the streets of Los Angeles, throwing and spinning house parties that would propel him on to the radio. Years of hard work led to his hosting and mixing Power 106's POWER TOOLS - now the longest running underground mix show in America – and earning Vission the 2003 DanceStar Award for "Best Radio DJ". His early studio success as The Movement, with their international gold single, "Jump,” led to performing in clubs around the world and formed the basis for his stellar remix career, working with everyone from Madonna, Destiny’s Child, Nelly Furtado, and Filter to FELIX DA HOUSECAT. He's produced/remixed over thirty Top 10 hits on Billboard's Dance Music Chart (19 of them hitting the number one slot) and earned a Grammy Remixer of The Year nomination, performing alongside Madonna at the 2001 Grammy Awards.

Next year, Vission will once again be on a non-stop tour of the US, with over 80 dates from coast to coast. With BIG FLOOR FUNK, RHV hopes to reach back to the days when mix CDs and the music was all about “having lots of fun and breaking the rules. I think electronic music has gotten too serious.” And with a this electrifying mix of tracks from many of his favorite artists, RICHARD HUMPTY VISSION will have everyone on their feet feeling the funk.
