Mark Duncan, aka Wax equestriaN has been on the dance scene since 1989. His influences are too many to mention but those who've heard him play know his mixing style is seamless but aggressive. His golden rule is that he'll play anything as long as it moves you by the head, heart or hips, although he does specialize in break beat and house.

In early 1991, Wax started playing old hardcore and house on the infamous Green Apple pirate radio.

He's since notched up many, many hours behind the decks, honing his skills and techniques in the never ending quest for perfection. He strongly believes that a crowd has a much better experience when a DJ is holding down a decent mix for minutes at a time, chopping and blending tracks into a new throbbing monster and tries to keep that 'pressure' going all the time when he plays. Wax is also brushing up on his scratching skills as he believes a little bit of class scratching before dropping straight into a mix can go a long way when it comes to lifting a crowd.

Wax equestriaN is also a founder member of Kitchen Club, UK , a collective of DJs who have headlined the dance tent at a Dance Festival in Henley on Thames , UK , as well as hosting their own club parties in London and the surrounding areas.

In April 2002 he entered a mixing competition in DJ magazine and was naturally delighted when he won it and the resultant set at Homelands 2002 for the ' We Love... ' promotion crew.

Since then he's played gigs both across the globe for some of the best promoters and party crews in Holland , Russia .

Best gigs lately include playing for Chew The Fat! at The END , London in January 2003, Planet Angel in August and November 2003 and once again for Chew the Fat! in Ibiza in September 2003.

He will start a new monthly night, Spit Roast, in London and will be playing at the "Heaven On Earth" festival in Valencia , Spain in early May.

Wax has produced/remixed dance tracks for a couple of years now and is signed to CONE records now, with his first break beat release on the label due out soon www.conerecords.com .

He also makes chill out with a friend, under the name ' KLoNDyKE '. They've had our music used in two British 'adult' films so far, and their first album "Diggin' for Gold" has been played in some chill-out bars in Ibiza summer 2003, with the possibility of 'live' sets at hippy club parties in the future.

Wax has been very busy lately in the studio producing a remix of Twoca by EBB due out on CONE records in June 2004 and ' Bulging Zippa ', which is being considered for release on BIG SQUARE RECORDS working on his new releases: 'Belief and Faith' and 'Happy Tonight'. They are now distributed in Ibiza and will surely be hits on the island this summer. The lucky Spanish public had the privilege to hear them before anyone at the Heaven OM Earth festival in Barcelona in May 2004.
