Music, deejaying/turntablism is a hobby and a lifestyle for Tomppa. He has been spinning records since late '98 and has played almost all kinds of music, everything from jazz to heavy metal.

Although Tomppa's musical interests vary from all kinds of music, one of his long term favorite is House music. That is also the biggest musical influence in his DJ career, and he's been listening to house since teenager. Other things that have influenced his style are early 90s breakbeat (Acen, Run-Tings, Prodigy etc.) and more "progressive" sounding electronic music like Moby, Massive Attack, Portishead etc.. Nowadays he listens to all types of music.

Tomppa's style is not easy to explain because it varies a lot, sometimes he likes to play really smooth deep house, and the next week he'll be spinning on a techno gig. So anything that is close to house/techno may be heard in Tomppa's sets!

Tomppa's been a resident dj in Kruuwi club in Kouvola since the beginning of the year 2001. He started the club with his friend Juha B, who is also a resident DJ in Kruuwi. Later on Axu-T joined us on our still continuing mission to explore new ways of playing good house music! ;)
