Gustavo Sandoval a.k.a. Tavo, was born in Bucaramanga (Colombia) on August 12 of 1977. From the young age of 12 years started collecting the mix sessions of the most recognized Mobile clubs of Venezuela & Colombia waking up in him a deep passion for the dj life. Influenced by the styles of Jose Ma. Castells, Tony Peret, Pedro Neira, Wilson Arenas, Andres Marques and many other great djs of the time, he started the process of any other dj, jumping from Mobile club parties to live shows on radio stations. He started a mix show in Cali (Colombia) on Rumba Stereo, with a great acceptance by the listeners, who could enjoy his original & flawless mixing style (regardless of the gender) where he received his first Dj Name: TavoMixx. From this station Tavo started his career on radio playing on shows on the top stations of the country: RadioActiva, La Mega, La Super Estacion & La X. Was this last, the one that gave him the chance of turning his career around and on December 30th of '96 he broadcasted a Live show for 127 hours, 2 minutes and 3 seconds of non stop mix. Tavo received in Spring of '97 the World Record Guinness certificate that he shared with the Radio Station and all the people who supported him for the longest non-stop Dj Set broad casted live on a radio station. Sadly this recognition never made it to the pages of the book, as the publishing house that had the rights of Guinness in Colombia that year, finished the contract and beside the efforts of many people that were involved in this project, until now Guinness hasn't give Dj Tavo the recognition he truthfully won. Never disappointed by this situation and with a name already famous in his country, he travels around his country, participating in different events, playing on top clubs & having a lot of fun. After been resident of top clubs of his city & co-director with his mate Dj Danny of the radio station Oxigeno (Caracol Radio), he travels to Panama City where he had a radio show and a residence on one of the most famous venues of the time, Rock Cafe. From here he decides to travel the world and put his eyes on Japan. Was in Tokyo where he found the final touch for his professional technic. Tavo lived 4 years there, traveling the country and listening to many excellent Djs who would help him, one way or another, to find his final stage for his Dj Style. But was John Robinson from Velfarre who would become his final Icon for turntablism and mixing and by watching him every time possible Tavo finally understand what was missing on his Dj view of a dance floor. After becoming one of the most recognized djs on the Roppongi scene and holding residences on really successful venues, he traveled to China, where he lives now...

THE PRESENT

Tavo had played until now all over China, from Hong Kong to Lhasa (Tibet), more than 30 cities and many great clubs where his vibrant sets, full with energy & charisma, make the dance floors rumble with the sounds of tribal, progressive, electro and latin house. 2008 will be the year when Tavo will finally release the music he has been studying and preparing for years, the project SANMORALES comes strong with many big name producers supporting it...for this he is planning to do a great event, inviting top producers of his beloved Colombia, friends and examples of the quality and high spirit of the latino culture, one that he will keep promoting where ever his destiny will take him...
