STEVE THOMAS

Steve Thomas, who is not to be confused with the like named European producer, started spinning in late 2000. His inspiration to becoming a DJ came from watching Orange County's legendary DJ Beej. Beej would tear up and assault the dance floor at the World Famous Club Rubber monthly events and Steve knew he had the ear and fire to do the same with his own flavor. In late 2000, Steve made the crossover from Promoter to DJ, and was taught by literally the best of the best.

He first learned from old school rave DJ Milktoast who taught him the basics. But it was Hollywood, CA's own Danny B who taught him to mold a personal groove that would set him aside from the typical DJ who played the weekly top 10 house tracks. Steve's involvement and popularity in the Orange County and Los Angeles "Club Scene" made it easy for him to secure opening sets. His amazing energy often got the early crowd moving as if it were prime time and this garnered him a following in record time. Quickly, he was placed in prime slots alongside his inspiration, DJ Beej, as well as many other headlining DJ's such as DJ Irene, Donald Glaude and Sandra Collins. His popularity afforded him gigs at Huntington Beach's extremely popular club night The Bedroom and he held a residency with the World Famous L.A. event Naked L.A. Steve's reputation for filling the floor with energy allowed him to make the move from just being a Southern California DJ to such spots as Las Vegas, Nevada to Austin, TX and most recently Atlanta, GA.

If you've never heard him play, get ready for "ENERGY" from both the sound system and his interaction with the crowd. Nowadays most people associate house music with mellow beats or lounge sounding music....Once you get a dose of Steve you'll never think of house music the same. Steve has often been called "The Next Donald Glaude" by all of his followers in Southern California, but the reality is his sound is still one that is unique to just him. Like a mad audio scientist, he takes either a older to newer popular house tracks and lays over various layers of rare grooves and hip-hop acapella's to make it his original. Mark my words, get in some good rest before and bring your best dancing shoes, because a dose of Steve will prove to be too much if not prepared.
