STEVE AROUSE
Steve Arouse has started spinning the turntables in 2000. As a member of the krushup crew he had his first gigs quite soon in small clubs around and in Vienna. When he came into the whole dj thing he started with House music, but he was never really happy with that. Because he was a d&b listener. So by the time his style got harder and harder and at some point he decided to get deeper into the drum and bass scene and play the music that he loves. In 2003 the first big thing was on the start. Steve Arouse and his crew were invited to play as second floor support for dillinja in Vienna's legendary arena. The critics wrote about that gig (translated from German): "The show can be described with four words: please more of it!.....an impressive performance. Not only because of the selection, which is much to less heard in Vienna also because of the tight mixing skills- third song searching as an advantage to just perfect mixes". This gig brought them an invitation to Radio FM4..s Austrian wide Friday night show: LaBoum deluxe. From that moment it was fast going upwards. During the last year he played in clubs over Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland and Spain. From 2004- 2005 he was manager and teacher of the vestax dj school in Vienna. Also he's editor for play.fm and hosts Austria's second biggest d&b Radio show Stereo SL- dreadbangers ball on Radio Orange with dj synchroniza. If that would not be enough is he promoting with the dreadbangers ball in the Viennas Arena- where more or less his breakthrough was- on of the biggest and best parties in Vienna. Acts like: Simon Bassline Smith, Kenny Ken, Shy FX, Ragga Twins and many more have performed on these events. Bassline Smith said after the Party: "That was the best party I've played on for years". Also is he working with other promoters in other big venues like flex or WUK to bring viennas drum & bass scene to the top.
