Stephanie Alexis, aka DJ SALEX is currently living in San Francisco, after returning from 6 years in San Diego, Orlando and Hawaii. She is a classically and Jazz trained violist and bass guitarist. Her actual start was on KCR radio in San Diego (DJ KID EVIL), where she got tired of just playing off the playlists, and wanted to put Jungle in the mix live. She constantly had guest dj's on her show from the San Diego area , and showcased fresh beats from all over the world. Shortly after she started playing out on air, she started hitting the decks live. Her dnb is intelligent ;a bit funky; a bit techy; sometimes flashy; and she is never afraid to be a bit girly with that classic ragga vibe and it has been known to get DIRTY AS ALL HELL.SMOOTH OR CHUNKY SHE's NOT AFRAID TO MIX. Stephanie has held several residencies in San Diego and San Francisco since 2004.
