Born in San Diego, raised in Seattle, Steele's upbringing is as diverse as his musical tastes. His father, from the South side of Chicago, gave him an appreciative ear for anything ranging from soulful Blues to the orchestral Moody Blues. Perhaps the most influential era was the 80's where the sounds of Murray Head, The Eurythmics, and Duran Duran made the best of Steele's companions throughout his early teen years.

Fast forwarding ahead, the techno "bug" bit Steele only after his friend Kyle landed a regular spot on Seattle's 107.7 The End; which, led to many a weekend at the station grooving to "UltraSound" hosted by Brian Beck, and a new desire to master the turntables. Taken under the wing of the internationally-renowned DJ DJMB (USC), Steele discovered the art of electronic muzik.

An affinity for vibe, an obsession with music, and a love of the people; Steele brings seamless mixes of musical styles as diverse as the crowds for which they're tailored, all hand delivered with a highly energetic stage presence. Regardless of venue or occasion, you'll see why Steele is the world's only Groove Engineer.
