Funky bass lines and bangin' melodies bring Spencer Thomas a step above others. Not one to just sit behind the decks, DST is ready to rock every time the crowd comes near dancing and moving with his set. Every time he drops the needle the listener is caught off guard with his unique programming. DST blends his influences of Humpty Vission, Bad Boy Bill and Felix da Housecat with Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Daft Punk with his hardhouse days to create a unique funky, groovin' tech house vibe that one can't help but move to. He's all about having fun and that can be seen with every meeting and performance. Spencer Thomas, born Spencer T. Audilett, began deejaying at the tender age of 9. Hanging around his Broher, Kiev, whom ran many of the larger Arizona raves and infamous Nile parties, Spencer Thomas was introduced to the underground music scene. Instantly hooked, he acquired a pair of old belt drive Technics, Gemini mixer and a small collection of hardhouse records. and began deejaying in his rookm. For a couple years he laerned the music and practiced mixing almost daily in his room. Then at the age of 12 DST was taken by his brother to the infamous Happy House where 500 clubbers would come after Club Rio, Freedom and the Nile to party in the morning. It was here that for 3 hours DST spun his first set for a crowd of 450 afer a Bad Boy Bill event. The promoters took a liking to his sound quickly and gave him another 2 hours later in the night to rock the crowd. DST began spinning many underground events in the Phoenix area and shifted his sound from the harder genres to Funky/French/Filtered House. Over the next few years DST was given control of an underground crew at the age of 15, and began throwing many of his own events. Then at the age of 17 DST was offered a radio show on Energy 92.7 FM with the likes of Rod Carillo, Carl Cox, Marcus Schulz and Paul Oakenfold. He still holds the show to this day rockin' the after hours every saturday. With a resume that includes shows with Peter Presta, Stonebridge, Bonse, Darude and events such as 2 residencies and a winter music conference performance, DST is a force to be reckoned with and he hasn't even broken the age of 20 yet. He's definitely one to be on the lookout for.
