You have two choices – book this man now or miss out. The following should help you make the right choice.
Spencer is one of dance music's hidden talents – but this looks set to change. With guest spots and residencies at seriously prestigious UK clubs such as Ministry of Sound, The Cross, Bed, The End, Heaven and Fabric - we suggest you move now.
Spencer has been dj-ing for around seven years and began his career by playing warm up sets at clubs such as Venom, The House of Windsor, Maximus and The Gardening Club. He was soon noticed by Nicky Holloway, who invited Spencer to become a resident at The Velvet Underground. With a weekly schedule that included Fabio residing on Wednesday, Carl Cox on Thursday and Spencer on Saturday and Saturday night guests including Norman Jay, Diesel, Mark Moore, Jon Pleased Wimmin', Paul Harris and Rocky, it was without doubt a great training ground.
After a very successful three years Spencer felt the time was right to move on, left The Velvet Room, as it was now called and continued to maintain a hectic worldwide dj schedule, alongside working in the music industry.
Spencer has worked for established company's such as AM:PM Records and Uptown Records as well as holding the title of A&R Manager at both 3-5-2 Recordings and Defected Records.
Spencer is currently working as a freelance A&R consultant, ensuring that his record box is always full of the latest tracks from the world's hottest talents.
Today, Spencer continues to play worldwide with gigs in 2003 alone having seen him visit Shanghai, Hanzhou, New York, Miami, Dubai, Bahrain, Slovenia, Cork, Dublin and of course, Ibiza, where he was exclusive resident at Café Savannah, Bora Bora and El Divino every Sunday for Defected Records.
Spencer's style is best described in one word, UNIQUE!
Influences include Roger Sanchez, Daft Punk, DJ Sneak and Erick Morillo. While preferred record labels range from Roule, Yellow, and Peaches to Stealth, Defected, Soulfuric and Subliminal.
A set from Spencer would include the most melodic of vocals through to the toughest of tracks while utilizing an array of acappella's and effects.
To put it simply, THE MAN ROCKS!
