Dj Snypa was born Ronnie Chinenyanga in 1982 in Harare, Zimbabwe. He is a third born in a family of four and was raised in Queensdale, Harare. The Rise and Rise of Dj Snypa started in Africa just over decade ago, and he hasn't looked back ever since. The passion and love for all kinds of music inspired him to get involved. In 1997 he decided to take DJ'ing seriously and he learned from his brother who was already a Dancehall / Reggae DJ in night clubs in and around Harare.

Dj Snypa started working with the Entertainment Committee at his school and got himself in the running of School Functions. He used the school gigs to get experience and boost his confidence. Over the holidays Dj Snypa would work on his collection with the help of his brother, sister and cousins. He has always shared the same hobbies and passions with other family members and friends. They have always supported him throughout his DJ'ing career and he will always appreciate their efforts.

When he finished school, it was time to explore the world of Entertainment. This was the real beginning, he started doing small house parties to gain more experience. In the process he bumped into a representive from AMC Entertainment, a disco for hire company based in Harare. They hired his services and Dj Snypa started working with 2 other Djs working for AMC. He went places with AMC and gained a lot of experience. They provided entertainment for all sorts of occasions. When he was not with AMC he used to rock clubs like Synergy and Archipelago as a guest DJ.

A new chapter was opened in DJ Snypa's life when he moved to England. When he arrived in the U.K he partnered the likes of The Rootsmaster in Kettering, playing Dancehall, Reggae and at times R&B in pubs and clubs around the U.K. In 2004-5 DJ Snypa was with Zimloxion Radio where he presented The Bashment Segment promoting African Dancehall. In the beginning 2005-6 he was with Tha Zonet Radio playing Dancehall and Reggae Music again. Now he is currently with ZimSplash Radio playing Dancehall, Reggae, R&B, Hip Hop and South African House Music.
