Born in 1987, the Dutch Progressive DJ Skiptag took an early interest in electronic music. It all started with classical music when he was still a little boy. At age seven, he started playing the piano. When he was aged fourteen he went playing the drums with a couple of friends and I even have played guitar on a blue Monday.
When it comes to DJing, he has to admit that he is quite a newbie in the DJ-Scene. Let alone the Progressive House scene! He has been DJing for around 5 years now, but has been spicing things up for more than 2 years.
His style is a very unique style in which he combines African rhythms with a capella's, melodies, deep bass lines and percussion. It has a great influence of Dark Progressive, Minimal, uplifting Tribal, Tech-House, and Techno. In which he likes to mix with a good structure and great energy.
A very focused person when it comes to techniques and he is always in to learn and try something new because in his opinion that it is an essential in this branch that you can do your own thing with the records allowing yourself to create a new song out of two or more records.
Back in his hometown, he has his own residency in which he has a weekly returning event called Passion @ Sunrise. He's just enjoying life to the fullest.
