At 17, Simbad Seguí, arrived in Argentina in 1992 from his native France to settle down in Cordoba, his parent's home-town. He then already had an artistic side forged up: his teens in Paris fed him with influences which led to incursions into graffiti, a culture that naturally edged him towards Hip Hop. It was in that context that his first approaches to electronic music occurred. In the beginning of the nineties he started listening to renown producers and DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Derrick May and Justin Robertson. Thus, his musical roots -which had Reggae and Dub as solid pillars- acquired the contribution of Deep House, House and Techno, outstanding elements of his current profile.

In 1996 Simbad begins his professional career working at several clubs, cultural events, festivals and concerts until he was called to be part of the most avant-garde and important designs of the country such as Clubland (Saturdays@Pacha Buenos Aires). His career led him to share the booth with Carl Craig, Deep Dish, Ralph Lawson, Christian Smith and other renown artists of the international scope. Committed with the evolution of the electronic music culture, Simbad later on made incursions into the production area. He was a mentor in the organisation of the multi-disciplinary events Mundo-Mix and conducted the development of the homonymous musical-cultural gathering which took place during 1998 at the Contemporary Art Centre of Cordoba. Two years later he worked on the artistic development of a little club, Club 33 rpm, located in the Red Zone of the city of Cordoba which also had him behind the decks. His performances in the three editions of Creamfields BA stand out along this DJ's timeline. At the same time his career abroad is based on his experiences in Uruguay and Mexico, Simbad also currently performs in Cordoba as well as in Buenos Aires. Once a month he plays at Lokitas (Cordoba), Casa Babylon (Cordoba), Peek a Boo (Cordoba) y Clubland (Saturdays@Pacha Buenos Aires). Weekly he airs his music through the section Late Night on Metrodance 95.1 FM.
