For Jason it all started his freshman year in Highschool. A buddy of his gave him a listen to his first "techno" song; Speed by Alpha team. He only listened for a moment but it was more than enough, he was hooked. He started gathering as many techno cds he could find from Drum and Bass to old skool techno, but one particular cd caught his attention. Happy2bHardcore Chapter 2 was his favorite. Soon afterwards some friends and he started throwin small "trailor parties" It was only a matter of time before he took up the decks. Under the influence and tutalidge of dj Forsaken he bought his first set of turntables and mixer and took on the moniker of Ruxpin.

As his range of influence broadend to the sounds of Vinylgroover, Stompy, Force and styles, Nimh and wishbone he turned to Happy hardcore to get the crowd moving. Since grooving to Happy hardcore was his hobby before all the blinky lights on the mixer got him hooked he was set to get the kids dancing like his old skool days.

This Tucson native (now residing in prescott) is quickly becoming a favorite at events all over Arizona. Known for his resemblance to a Teddy Ruxpin doll with a personality to match his ability to get a crowd involved with the music then take them on a journey has proven uncanny. Equipped with his Simon Apex moto "keep it real, keep it happy, keep it hardcore" he takes to the tables to express the excitment he as for people, life and those happy vibes. Having had the chance to be billed with such "Hardcore" names as Vinylgroover, Simon Apex, Lost boy, Demigod, Deadnoise and Starr and such other names as AK1200, Kimball collins, Electric skychurch, Atomic Babies,and Dj Jazzy Jeff hes deffinitly rockin the party wherever he goes.

All is up in the air for ruxpin at this point. Concentrating on gettin out of of state bookings is his next goal then he hopes to get into a studio to try his hand at producing. Cds are also coming out of the woodwork. Most recently a split cd with dj Starr titled "We Will Rock You" is in the final stages of production.
