Ruthless started spinning records in 1995, and shortly after that moment he was already making mixtapes for Radio Balans and Stadsradio Rotterdam.

He started as a resident DJ at Kozmoz (Belgium) and Maddox (Vlaardingen). Soon after that, he started playing at several places in and around Rotterdam.

Since 2002 Ruthless plays all over Holland, in Places like: The Matrixx, The Powerzone, Asta, Tropicana, Outland, Silverdome, Locomotion, Club X, ZAK, Amigo's, RAI, Hemkade, Nightlive, Alcazar, Heiniken Music Hall, Bob's Saloon, Hollywood Music Hall, and many more! And soon after that the big parties like Defqon 1, In Qontrol, Hardbass, Decibel, Qlimax, Mysteryland, Sensation and Q-Base were also on his schedule!

Ruthless has also grown internationally, he spinned his records in the USA, (Hollywood, Las Vegas, San Diego), Spain (Pyramide, Chocolate, Colossos), Italy (Dorean Grey), Swiss (MAD), Germany (New Bambu, Tarm Center, ZAK), France (Le Tremplin, Metropolis, Seven) and Belgium (H2O, Complex, Cherrymoon).

His favourite styles are Jump, Hardstyle and Oldschool, and of course the early Hardcore is where his roots are!

As a producer, Ruthless is really going strong. He's already made remixes of Reeloop - Fucking Society and Da Klubb Kings - Don't Stop (Both Number 1 Dutch Dance Charts).

After he teams up with his studio mate Maarten Vorwerk, things really start to blow! They make a perfect team! Together they make remixes for Benny Benassi, Pulsedriver, Greg C, Boozywoozy, Dark-E, Lock ?n Load and Pavo & Zany!

After the release of 'Ruthless & Vorwerk - I Feel Like Dancin' and 'Jack & The Ripper - Whores In Da House' they enter the Dance Charts Top 3 with both these records!

'Remote Control', Ruthless' first solo record, was a big hit in Holland, Belgium and France (Top 10)!

More Ruthless & Vorwerk bombs (Wake Up,Jump Up, Not This Record, etc) were also big clubhits.

All their records are released on Ruthless' own label: 'Square Beats'.

In 2007 he reached the NR 1 position in the Dutch national Chart; TOP 40 with another alias called 'Jeckyll & Hyde'.

The track 'Freefall' blew everybody away. It was also NR 1 in Poland.

Be prepared for many more big releases on his labels Square Beats and Square Limited, by ofcourse DJ Ruthless and Ruthless & Vorwerk, but also other artists and different projects!
