From Being a Full time academic Panist, in middle 2005, Ricardos life made a 180 degree turn around.

Making electronic music a part of his daily living. 2006 opened new doors to Castillo, after practicing, playing at underground gigs, and a few clubs around San Salvador, had the opportunity to warm up the gig for Canadian dj/producer/remixer Gabriel Batz. After playing at several local bars, clubs and beaches, in late 2006 Ricardo decided to start his own promoter "Velvet Promotions", helping the local electronic music scene to grow a little with "velvet Sessions".

So far, with only two years of producing and one year and a half of djing, Ricardo already has played in Guatemala four times and shared decks with important Central American djs (such as Santiago Nio, Alex Hentze, Rodrigo Valdes, Abraham Saca, Ettore Lentini to name a few); moving towards the whole Central American region. Now being a big part in the local electronic music scene and moving forward in djing and producing, Ricardo Castillos Minimal Techno & Techno is shaking dancefloors all over. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to listen and appreciate.
