Asher and Neil have been working together since the late 90’s, DJing and producing house music under the Rhythm Code banner. Both possess natural musical abilities that stem back to their childhood and both share the same love of percussion and rhythm. Asher and Neil have played host to Slam, Phil Keiren and Justin Robertson at their own Moov night and appeared alongside the likes of Danny Rampling, Shapeshifters and Funk D’Void. Rhythms Code’s trademark 4 deck sets give them that certain X factor that sets them a peg above the rest. Their meticulous attention to detail and flawless control behind the decks coupled with an equally clinical approach to production is what has led Rhythm Code to become a firm favourite amongst top flight DJ’s and clubbers alike’
From the twisted, drug fueled mayhem of ‘Digital Junkies’ to the electronic beast that is ‘Hypnotic influence’ Rhythm Code’s original productions have been praised time after time by the likes of Sasha, Hernan Cattanio, Armin Van buren, Pete Tong, Green Velvet, The Plumps and more, attesting to their musical diversity and cross-over appeal. ‘Our sound kind of encompasses everything we love about electronic music’ We don’t like to focus on any particular style for too long, so all our productions are different’
A collaboration in 2004 with scratch pro and breaks DJ Don Herseema gave birth to the Platinum Mules, releasing a string of unique multi genre style of breakbeat tracks with hard hitting twisted bass lines. 2005 was an amazing year for the Mules with 3 releases on West Records and MOFO receiving support from Annie Nightingale, Plumps, Meat Katie, Aquasky, J Me, Steelzawheelz, IDJ, DJ Mag, Ben N Lex, HighEight, Clodhoppa, Sticky Fingers and Jimmy Brayks.
Asher and Neil now regularly find themselves DJing the world over and remixing some of the biggest names in House music. Their big room remix of Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero’s hit ‘What Happened’ released on Slip n Slide in 2004 led the way to further success in 2005 when they were asked to remix DeLacy’s classic ‘Hideaway’ with Chris Lake. Naturally more collaboration work followed, spawning a string of releases under various different guises’ In particular Asher’s Collaboration with Chris Lake as Ramsay stood out, their debut release on Startra ‘Sweat’ was Featured on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection and gained support from many the top jocks, including Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier.
More original Code productions followed in 2005 with ‘Sing’ on Nascent Records, featured on Pete Gooding’s Miami DJ Mag (march 06) cover CD and Wally Lopez’s Essential mix and ‘Lullaby’ on Cuba Recordings described as’ "Fusing slick proggy beats with a sultry vocal, its smooth as silk. There are about 10 mixes to choose from, but stick to the original for a catchy, easily digestible, cheese free diet of quality house. Sounding as fresh today as when it was first made." DJ MAG’
The boys round up the year with their first compilation mix CD ‘Moov House’ on Kickin Records. The mix, described as a ballistic audio assault, rich in texture and thoroughly entertaining, features tracks from Trophy Twins, Tony Signore & Beckers and exclusive unreleased Rhythm Code & Chris Lake collaborations. The album is an excellent reflection of Asher and Neil’s love for music and sets out milestone in their carriers. Looking forward to the future’
