PSY KLONE

Paul Randall, AKA Psyonix, has a passion for electronic music and the culture surrounding it. In a short while he's gone from the bedroom and house parties, to clubs and full-scale raves. He's been fortunate enough to be lined up with Utah's best, and even some international talent as well.

Paul started out musically playing the 4 string electric bass, and jammed with local Punk Rock band, IDK (later to be known as Free For All). After witnessing local turntablists at BBoy competitions (back then he was very into breakin' and other elements of hip-hop culture), he knew just what he wanted to do.

It wasn't until some while later that he and his roommates at the time (one of them being SLC local, D Boy) picked up some turntables, but once they did, one would be hard-pressed to tear them away from them. Most likely because he had grown up with Hip-Hop and Punk (as well as a variety of other genres), he was greatly attracted to the Drum and Bass/Jungle sound.

After about a year of time being put into this hobby, he was booked to play at the Sektor 7 Cartel's "Heat" (a club event in downtown SLC). After his flawless performance, the Cartel added him to their resident roster (along with CBR of Fevah US, DJ RyKnow, DJ Myze, and Sektor 7). Since then he has helped promote and performed at several Cartel events. He was 1/2 of the duo that started SLCDNB.com as well, but has since then parted ways and launched his own community dedicated purely to Utah Drum and Bass, 801-dnb.com. He has also played several club nights at places such as Bricks, Papiyons, The Sky Bar, Club Vegas, and more. In addition, he's played out at Raves, and is currently the host of Mechanized Records' weekly radio show, "The Afterlife", which broadcasts all over the planet.

During all this he has dabbled in production, and has had some of his tunes played on Internet radio shows.

One of the youngest DJs in the scene, it's no doubt that he will be a force not to be reckoned with in the years to come.
