Born on June 1st 1977 in the Czech Republic, Alex Trent (aka Pretty Boy Acid) has had a fascination with music since he can remember. At the age of 8, Alex and his family began their move to Canada. Along the way they traveled across Europe exposing him to many different musical genres and cultures. At age 14 Alex got introduced to house and techno music. Fascinated by the revolutionary sounds of artists like Acen, NRG, and Praga Khan most of who were made know in the Toronto scene by Chris Sheppard. From then on he had a deep attachment to electronic music.

At age 17 Alex began experimenting in recorded music. Using basic freeware sequencers that were available he began learning to produce his own music. He studied audio engineering out of interest. Lack of funds and professional grade equipment he did not give up and as he learned more leaned to improvise for the lacking hardware through items he found around the house.

At age 23 the Toronto rave scene drew Alex in. Wanting to partake in bringing out DJ talent and putting together events he created 3XP Productions. On April 19th 2002 at the Palais Royalle in Toronto 3XP's first production called "Awaken" took place head lined by Austria's Lori the HiFi Princess. Since then 3XP has been running its Technical Series of Club nights.

Currently in 2004 Alex stepped behind the decks him self to spin a mix of vocal house and progressive trance. Always evolving musically you can count on up coming releases of his own production and great DJ sets as well as spectacular events from 3XP Productions.

Alex currently hosts an internet radio show on Club 246 every week.
