In social activity groups people tend to organize parties as a fund raising event or to promote their existence. As a young member of such groups, Pinn mostly volunteered to compile a sound and light system at a profitable price. After assembling a sound system, the urge to handle it was to big and the need for music control got hold of this petty human creature.
Playing in a rock band at age 15 wasn't satisfying on this level, as rehearsals were constantly messed up by juvenile females that were in need of a boy with some rock 'n roll style (and let is be clear: an increase in style has no influence on the quality of music). So this plan dropped quite quickly, and the guitar is still staring with puppy eyes.
The revolution in musical style occurred during his years at university. Getting quite sick of hearing the same music over and over again in every single student party, he found a solid partner in crime, Esteban. With joined forces they started to push it on the musical level, and organized small quality events.
As he felt that there was more then his native city Ghent, he signed up for an student exchange program which led him to London, a small village north of Brighton in the UK. As this village has a significant dance scene, it proved to be of great inspirational value.
Nevertheless, the north of London, were he resided in a 9,5 mē room (bathroom incl.), seemed to be to quiet for him. Grabbing every piece of sound reinforcement he could find, arranging a laptop for proper mixing and with the PR strength of some freshly made friends, he started to throw parties in his hall of residence. As these parties had no respect at all for normal UK closing times, they grew to be quite infamous events.
Two years later, Esteban got back from Spain and they reinvented themselves as being a pair of Cabronimos (which could be translated as: bastardimo). The need for music control had only grown, so had the record collection and the size of the sound systems.
The musical style that Pinn stands for is a consolidation of all influences he experienced during his life. Taking it from the ethereal sounds that flew over the Woodstock fields to the overwhelming tech-house beat that places like Fabric are known for. In a certain way, it's all in there, and it wants to come out.
