Since and early age music has been a passion for Owen Clark, With his family already boasting a wide variety of musicians as varied as opera singers, grade 8 pianists and grunge rock lead singers! Music was always going to be an important thing in Owen’s life.

At first Owen had his heart set on becoming a guitarist in a band and from an early age was fascinated by groups such as the Beatles, the Who and the Pistols. This all changed when Owen started to go to free parties and clubs. At first Drum and Bass was the music that first got Owen into dance music, but after attending the Opera house in Bourenmouth for a Cocoshebeen event, Owen found himself in the trance room an has never looked back. “I can’t remember who was playing but I was blown away by the music and the atmosphere” Owen hasn’t looked back since and took up djing straight away.

Owens big break in djing came when he started a night in Southampton named ‘Electro’ “The idea was to get as many of the up and coming djs playing as possible and to get some of the more established names down as well” The night was a roaring success and gave Owen the chance to play alongside some of the most exciting names in the business such as Trevor Rockcliffe, John Askew, Adam Sheridan and many many more.

Owen stopped Electro in July 2005 as he was moving to London. ‘I decided to concentrate on pushing myself as a dj rather than promoting’ said Owen. Owen also started adapting his style from formulatic trance to incorporate more styles into his sets. “I hate being pigeon holed as a trance dj. I have two genres of music that I go by, good music and bad music.” This is Owen’s great skill as it makes his sets more individual and fresh. It also give Owen a great deal of flexabilty in his sets as well.

2006 has started with a bang for Owen, He secured a weekly residency on Trancemixers.com radio and also a bi-monthly residency at a new up and coming night in Bournemouth called Twister. This alerted the attentions of The massive Slinky and Owen made his debut there in April of this year. ‘It was a dream come true,” said Owen. Owen has been since booked for Scream in Bristol and also Turnmills in London. 2006 is really shaping up to be on hell of a year for Owen.

With his energetic and in your face style Owen is guaranteed to cause rock any dancefloor and with some of the big names in the business tipping Owen for big thinks the future is certainly looking bright.
