OLIVERIO

Oliverio was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1971. He began his musical training in harmony and audioperceptive with Prof. Gustavo Garķa Mendy and in piano with Prof. Daniel Elia. He then took classes of sound and synthesis with Prof. Jorge Saad.

He alternates his music work with being a DJ, producer and the visual software VisualJammer, made by Oliverio himself, Hac and Otto.

His career as a dj begins in 1994 thanks to Hernan Cattaneo who entrusted him with his warm-up. From that moment on, he has shared the booth with artists such as Fatboy Slim, Darren Emerson, Jon Pleased, James Zabiela, Deep Dish, Natural Born Chillers, Anthony Shake Shakir, Richie Hawtin-Plastikman, Angel Molina and Colin Dale amongst others. As a musician he has shared stage with Way Out West, Circulation, Darren Emerson (ex Underworld) and others.

With Planetaria (his band with Paksel and Osky) he released two LPs which were very well received by the specialised press (Los Inrockuptibles, Rolling Stone). Three video-clips of the band were on MTV. More than 30 tracks of his, most of them co-written with Carlos Alfonsin udner the alias Jingle-Jungle, served as soundtracks for adverts of brands like Sony, Correo Argentino, Evian, Corsa, among many others.

Oliverio was a feature in the 2001 and 2003 editions of the Creamfields BA festival. He recently made a tour around Brazil with VisualJammer. Settled in Barcelona since 2001, he's been a guest at Bugged Out! where he has shared the night with Yousef, on Carter and Lee Burridge. In that city he often performs live at Club Zen (City Hall) among other places. He was sponsored by brands like Vans, Absolut and Chivas.

His latest two tracks were ranked by the top DJs: David Gahan's bootleg of I Need You and Baires on fire which will be released on 2004 and will have remixes by Loudest and Andgel Molina.
