MONKEY
Monkey is a driving force in the Seattle electronic dance scene. Monkey began spinning in 1999 and in 2001 started playing with the Motorbooty crew. Monkey soon hooked up with DJ Whistler, founder of Lovetribe Productions. Monkey has become one of the most loved djs in the Seattle scene; as well as throwing some of the most memorable parties in Seattle. Monkey got known for throwing side rooms and doing visuals for promoters at the legendary NAF warehouse. Soon after that Monkey began to gain recognition with a top spot booked for the Lovetribe party Loveshack, February 14, 2003. Monkey threw his first party March 29, 2003 called Pollinate in Tacoma the party was a success, putting Monkey in the eye of Seattle's dance scene. In August of 2003, Monkey was recruited into Frequency 8 Records as a resident DJ and up and coming producer. Monkey has been a Seattle favorite since he exploded on to the scene in 2002. Monkey's self proclaimed style "epic energy" has been a Flore shattering, pulse driving, ass shaking, mix of hard trance, NRG, and his own tracks. Monkey is constantly rated as one of the top 50 hard trance djs on thedjlist.com. Monkey is well remembered in all of the west coast cities he plays from Anchorage to San Diego, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Honolulu, Portland, Vancouver BC, and the home town Seattle.
