Miguel Picasso is a DJ of long standing, who has been Djing since the early nineties and started producing his own tracks in the late nineties. Miguel style covers a wide spectrum which includes eclectic, elegant, house music from uplifting thru' to tribal genres. DJ Picasso has been the resident DJ at Passion club Spain, for five years. He is also resident DJ of Freedom-Spain, www.freedom-spain.com a yearly international gay friendly event, the largest of its kind in Spain, he had another residency at Pacha (Costa del Sol), and finally now at Emporio Club, Costa del Sol. Additionally Miguel Picasso has performed as guest DJ at Shrine, Olivia Valere, Boss, Malibu, Warhol, Congreso (Bilbao), Conjunto Vacio, (Bilbao), Salvation Barcelona, Cool, Ohm, (Madrid) Substation South (London) and many others..
DJ Picasso has played alongside international names such as Erick Morillo, Richard F.,Silicone Soul, Danny Rampling, John Acquaviva, Andy Morris, Sonique, Java, Alan Thompson, Justin Ballard, Wally Lopez, Pedro Del moral, Dr Kucho, and a host of others.
As a producer in his own right, his successes include an existing deal with Weekend Records, with the release of "I like the way" with remixes of Dr. Kucho!, reaching number one in lists in several countries in Europe and Canada, and recommended by names as Ralphi Rosario (Chicago) as well as with the House Label Domo Recordings, with whom has released "We are really bad" included in the Session CD "Freedom". Other releases are included in compilations such as "Technohouse from Barcelona", Rod's music and "Chambao"(Sony) with the song "Southern Nights" best seller in Spain and now getting positions in Europe and America. Lately, "I miss you" for the house label ANISS, under the nickname A DUMB BLONDE, already included in Peter Rauhofer's compilation for Star 69 "Live @ Roxy 03"and the big release of "What makes the world go round" with remixes of Dr Kucho, David Ferrero and Pedro del Moral, for Weekend, supported and played by Pete Tong in BBC radio 1 (UK) and Roger Sanchez at his radio shows and gigs and in his compilation "Release Yourself", and included in other compilations already, as "Balearic People", mixed by Sebastian Gamboa, the next Roger Sanchez "Release Yourself" compilation, and in the soundtrack of Spanish movie "The mix". It was also played at the end of the last pret a porter fashion show of Christian Dior in Paris. Future releases: imminent hit "MUSCLES" for Weekend Rec., "FUNKY HEAVEN EP" for Bonus Tracks, "TOTAL ECLYPSE EP" as A DUMB BLONDE, for Aniss / Bonita Musica label. Then he released "DANGEROUS" (House Works) and "I LIKE THE OLD SCHOOL" (Domo Recordings)
Lately, he has been voted as deejay number 19 on the top 20 ALL STYLES, in the Deejay magazine Spain.
