MIGHTY S
Mighty S was six years old when he discovered what the word “music” means. Indeed, he receives a teaching of classical music, in which piano and musical theory will be her major assets to defend her ideas, during eleven consecutive years. Meanwhile, he did make the discovery of others music styles completing each others, procuring him the musical universe in which he grew up. Between soul/jazz/funk brought up by his brother, worldwide & traditional music/classical/rnb/new-jack/neo-soul by his sister and rap/hip-hop by his own discovery, he lived in this musically varied universe until the eleven years age. Then, in thinking he knew all about the music, he found out by chance the album “At the end of the cliché” produced by Carl Cox whose the track entitled “The player” will procure him such an energy that he fell in love with this kind of music. This energy pushes him to deepen her research and discover the Electronic scene, especially her DJs, her artists of any kinds etc. Then, at the twelve years age, he recovers an old vinyl turntable, with which he will try to superimpose a vinyl and a CD with HI-FI system as second player (and as only monitoring the turntable’s furrow and only one fader, the volume one). So he realized that the music seizes him, and mixed as many times as he could on this modest sound system made by him. After one year of hard and patient economy, he bought turntables with the height of her modest means. Three records, two turntables, one mix and many sleepless nights secretly passed on her turntables which became his only one expression way. He no more knows the usual little normal boy’s hobbies of his age and, in the place of that, works all possible techniques on her turntables (Scratch, bootleg, pass-pass, mix etc.). One this step passed, he tries at the fourteen age a new expression way for him: the production, and finds out in that a real passion. So far, Mighty S stays a DJ and producer with whole share.
