Born In Rabat in 1981, Mar1 has always been interested in music. His first incursion into the DJ's world started in 2004 while working as a radio producer on Rabat International Channel where he has largely contributed in discovering electronic music and promoting clubbing in Morocco, thanks to his radio shows 'LES NOCTURNES' and 'SALUT DJ'.

His musical evolution went through different styles, from deep house to minimal continuing to tribal and progressive house, until finally getting to house and all its variations. In the past four years Mar1 has established himself as one of the most innovative and respectable DJ?s in his natal country. Mar1 performed as a guest DJ in important events like Heineken Thirst Competition @ 555 Tanger , Gauloises Glory Sundays ,We Love Deejing Sessions and Pure Summer 2006 @ Platinium Rabat, Fashion Weekend @ Babaloo Beach Casablanca, Made In Morocco Festival @ Palm Beach Casablanca .

This demonstrates both his popularity, and his skill with adapting his live performance skills to a very diverse crowd. This exceptional talent explains why Mar1 is considered as one of the best Moroccan DJ?s.

In 2006 Mar1 became resident at Platinium gaining recognition in the Moroccan House Scene. It is clear Mar1 is full of imagination and has great taste. The crowds love him. As a result, he has shared the DJ booth with some of the most renowned House Scene DJs like: Simon & Shaker, Peter Gelderblom, Pablo Ceballos, Juan Magan, DJ Preach, Karim Haas, Didier Sinclair, La Ona, Abel Ramos, David Vendetta, Erick Morillo, Steve Lawler, Sebastien Leger, DJ Puko, Andy Moor, Wally Lopez, Saeed Younan, Mark Hughes, Mark Knight.

More important than his professional and artistic qualities, what has trapped people's hearts is his charisma and connection with the dance floor. Living a Mar1 set is an open and uplifting experience which will leave a deep trace in the crowd. His sets are energetic, original, elegant, vanguardist and most of all a continuous dance through a wide range of styles with a common factor of fun and party but never loosing contact with the seriousness and quality of the best underground tracks.
