Malcolm's schooling in house music began in the early to mid nineties from the other side of the dj booth and behind the bar. The year 2000 saw that change to a move behind the decks as Resident dj at the now defunct Ja Jas Lounge. Malcolm also mixed weekly sets for Pulse FM's Sunday recovery show. Since then he has held residencies across Brisbane's City and Valley and played up and down the QLD coast including Great Keppel and Magnetic Island.
Malcolm's music of choice is House, he is just as comfortable warming up any room for a guest dj or pushing a crowd through till close. His sets incorporate all things funk fuelled, tribal tinged, electro driven and his beloved tough progressive never leaving the dance floor disappointed, but regularly gagging for more!
Malcolm has played alongside and supported Gene Farris, Kosheen, Sneaky Sound System, Aya Larkin (Skunkhour) Groove Terminator, Casey Taylor, Kazu Kimira, Darude, Nathan G, Mr Timothy, Master H, Abel Toro, DJ Rebekah (UK), Sveta and Kate Monroe plus an array of Brisbane's local talent such as Matt Nugent, Matt Kitshon and Baby Gee. The artists supported and having played parties and venues from Townsville to Sydney is one of his biggest assets and testament to his diversity and versatility as a dj. Malcolm was a finalist in the Heineken Found @ Thirst dj Competition 2004 and is a weekly contributor to the ARIA club chart.
Malcolm plays guest spots up and down the Queensland coast.
Malcolm has an extensive background in Commercial Radio with The Austereo network in promotions and as an announcer from 1996 to 2000 and for the last eight years as his alter ego "Supermal' doing traffic reports for Triple M Brisbane, Sea FM on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Fm on the Gold Coast and Reporting for Channel Sevens Sunrise channel nines Today Show and Channel Ten News first at Five. The early starts are a little rough when dj'ing three nights a week but music is his passion or is that better phrased "an addiction which keeps him going".
Malcolm is currently resident DJ at Fringe Bar in Brisbanes Fortiude Valley.
