MAD ADAM
Mad Adam has been DJ'ing professionally in night clubs and at events around the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest since 1992. A self-taught mixologist, Adam started off in 1989 mixing with vinyl and has advanced through the years, spinning clubs such as King, SBNY/Splash Bar, Dugout, The Cock and Stonewall in New York City; Woody's, Tavern on Camac and Key West in Philadelphia; Cloud 9 and Blue Moon in Rehoboth Beach DE; and, The Woods Campground & Resort in Lehighton PA. Since 2000, Adam has focused his efforts DJ'ing at "Bear" venues including events like Washington DC Bear Invasion 2000/01, Chicago Bear Pride main event at 'Metro' 2003, NYBC's Growl-O-Rama 2003 and Metrobears' Gay Pride Boat Cruise 2003/04/05 in New York City, Bears on Liberty Weekend (BoLW) 2003/04/05 in Philadelphia, Bear Trek 2005 in Danbury CT, and the Excelsior MC's Leathermen's Weekend 2005 at Ice Palace in Cherry Grove / Fire Island NY. Since 1998, Adam has endeavored dance music remix production with unofficial projects including artists such as: Beastie Boys, Stevie Nicks, Karen Finley, Mister Mister, Brand New Heavies, The Cranberries, Diamanda Galas, Just Jill, Who Da Funk featuring Jessica Eve, Celine Dion, Michael McDonald, Pet Shop Boys, Seal, Sister Sledge, the campy Rose Royce disco classic "Car Wash", BQQ's 2004 cover of "Cold As Ice", Kylie Minogue's "I Believe In You", the Vanessa Williams 2005 cover of "You Are Everything", Scissor Sisters "Filthy Gorgeous"; and, extended revamps of the 2005 remixes of T-Rex (vs SFB) "Bang A Gong (Get It On)", Boy Meets Girl (vs Sunset Strippers) "Waiting For A Star To Fall", Go West (vs Groove Cutters) "We Close Our Eyes", Jackie Moore (vs Freemasons) "This Time Baby (Love On My Mind)", and Devo (vs Steir & Sakurai) "Whip It". Adam was also commissioned by a French electronica band, My Diet Pill, to remix one of their singles, "Clouds Are Made of Pain", which had been debuted in French nightclubs and broadcast on French dance radio in July, 2001; in concordance with the release of their 2nd CD, the track has been re-EQ'ed and adjusted: Mad Adam Redux Cinq Mix 2005. Additionally, Adam was twice featured in New York City's NEXT Magazine, July 2003 with a DJ playlist and October 2003 in a DJ spotlight article highlighting his career and work in and for the Bear Community.
