MAD-JAM

Mad-Jam Bio

DJ-ing for over a decade Ahmad Ajam or letter-chopped to Mad-Jam, has evolved from the elementary-school house parties to the biggest clubs and events around the world. He’s currently active in promoting, PR consulting, broadcasting, while maintaining a profile as one of the Middle East’s most popular DJs.

Based in Beirut for 13 years, he keeps a database of all happenings in the Lebanese Nightlife through colleagues, friends, and E-mails. He also produces and mixes Club Frequency on Mix FM, a weekly radio show dedicated to Lebanon’s clubbers. Mad-Jam has also contributed to a number of cultural and social publications. In 2004, he completed 4 years of university with a BA in Communication Arts.

Mad-Jam’s sound is best described as “party music” and varies from vocal to progressive house with a touch of funk and electro and just about everything in between. He’s played in just about every true club in Beirut, along with events such as Bacardi Festival that fill-up over 20,000 people.

Mad-Jam’s recently played sets along DJs Sasha, John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells, Paul Oakenfold, Antoine Clamaran, Anthony Pappa, Paul Van Dyk, Bob Sinclar, Laurent Wolf, Robbie Rivera and DJ Gregory among others. He is a true supporter of the dance music scene across the Middle East, and continues to play gigs in Kuwait, Jordan, Cyprus, Bahrain, Lebanon and his current residency in Dubai.

“No matter where you go on this planet you will find good dance music. The exposure and production are the essential elements to support any scene, and that’s where I love to focus my effort” he said in a recent interview in 2004. “It’s all about the crowd & their response to the music, if they’re up for it, then so am I”.
