Luigi Rodrguez started in the year 2000 with a one man Live PA called Oompa Loompa. It wasnt long before he started to learn the art of mixing observing many of the islands talent such as X-man, Dj Red, K-oba, etc and international talent that came to visit the island. He dug himself good into San Juans underground scene. Luigi known for his dark percussive sound, his eclectic melodies and his crowd interaction became one of Puerto Ricos top progressive DJs. He started to get recognition around the island playing alongside numerous international talents such as: Danny Howells, Max Graham, Steve Lawler, Armin van Buuren, Seb Fontaine, James Zabiela, John Digweed, etc. In the last year Luigi has been very focused with productions. Having a couple of side projects with artists like Carlos Lopez aka Red, John ?Ender? Rios, Josh, Rey Santiago Fernando Rentas and X-man, you can listen to his productions under any of these names: Plumpy Bitches, Numecca, CEL, SOB-Alliance, Goonz and X & L. In the year 2006 his 1st original release came out on 4-Stroke Produktunes which is a hard hitting Progressive-Tech track which has been getting support in Miami, NYC, France, just to mention a few. One of his residencies Friday Mass has become San Juans key underground night with a full spectrum of variation from progressive to tech house to techno, having regularly international guests and bringing a new era of Underground feeling to a mostly mainstream city. With a percussive background his sets elaborate from dark drums to sinfully lush melodies to fill an incredible dancefloor feel.
