2008 has been the year of LJ MTX. After making his Beatport debut during mid-January 2008, the Electro and Progressive House producer/vocalist/singer/DJ's name has been seen all over the charts. During late March/early April two of his bass thumpin' tracks (released on Metronix Recordings) were featured in the top 50 for Electro House. His remix of Saddle Up by local friend "Pimpztress Rah" jumped up to number 43 within one week of its release on the Beatport.com Top 100 Electro House chart, along with his original, "Punk Rawk" which was charted as high as number 14 on Trackitdown.net. Additionally, the vocal work LJ did for Poland's Mike Cortez & Poldee (aka Livin' So Fast) was recognized as Behind the Decks (Marbrax Remix) reached as high as #60 on Beatport's Top 100 Electro House. LJ's original tracks and collaborations are being dropped by some of the hottest DJ's in the world, receiving support from some top names including: Antoine Clamaran, Hatiras and Donald Glaude. As one could imagine, all of these accolades have come as abrupt, yet pleasant surprises for the up-and-coming artist in a short period of time. To see his name listed among the most elite in the industry has been such a great honor for the unassuming artist.

Many of his peers have shared that they believe he may be the next big thing out of the DC area'a great compliment that he humbly accepts. LJ has been a musician for most of his life and has always had faith that his success will come one day. Although music is his true love, it has always come second to his family, professional career, and education. He has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from a very respectable university and retains a job as a healthcare administrator that he balances with his musical endeavors. He would love nothing more than to punch the time clock for the very last time and focus on nothing but music for the rest of his life, but knows that success as a musician comes to very few. His faith tells him that things happen if and when they are supposed to happen and is really in no hurry.

LJ is a true performer who wears his heart on his chest every time he takes the stage--a characteristic that may be the driving force in his success to date. He can most often be found playing regularly at the ever popular parties hosted at two of the premier DC nightclubs, 4Play @ Ultrabar [Thur], Snatch @ Ultrabar [Fri], and Glow @ Ibiza [Sat](home to residents: Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, George Acosta, Deep Dish and many more of the top DJ's in the world). Many who know him have been captivated not only by his rapidly growing success as a producer, but by his skills as a DJ. His energetic sets and creative track selections combine a tasteful mix of Electro House, Funky House, and Progressive House that captivate audiences and move the dance floor. His inclusion of his own bootleg remixes into his sets have allowed him to keep his track selection fresh and also display a bit of his creativity. Exclusive to his own sets many have heard his remixes of Daft Punk, Kanye West, Metallica, and Phil Collins.
