Lady B's musical involvement stems from the age of seven, when a piano lesson was an every week event by a private teacher. She continued lessons until she graduated high school from Thomson High School in Thomson, GA. She also was involved in the school choir, the school band (piano and saxophone), the church choir, and was the solo twirler (majorette) for all four years. Then Lady B, also known as Brandi, decided to minor in music while seeking a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University. After making the decision to change her major from pre-med to Public Relations, Lady B was involved more in music than ever. In 1999, one of Brandis good friends gave her a basic disk jockey lesson and after that, she took it upon herself to master the skill of matching beats with her hard work and detection. Thanks to Brandis parents, they bought her all her disk jockey equipment and have been very supportive while she does what she loves. After several months of practice, Lady B landed her first residency at a local night club in Statesboro, GA (home of GSU). Before long, she was playing at all the local bars and night clubs three to four nights a week. Being a disk jockey for night clubs was not the only musical avenue Brandi explored. She was a radio personality/DJ for The ROCK of Savannah, I 95.5 for 2 years and Lady B had her own radio show on WVGS 91.9, The Voice of Georgia Southern, called the Lady B Breakbeat Show. Brandis love for breaks and house music, along with her mixing skills, resulted in her playing all over the United States with top performers and DJs/producers. Some of these DJ/producers include Icey, Baby Anne, DJ Rap, 10 Sui, Factor-e, Hydraulic, DJB, Terry Thurston, Neutron aka Rated R, DJ Casey, Skip-a-Beat, Aaron Sigman, Swirl, Malicious Mike, Randy Wheeler, Sikora, NO:3, Rennix, Vessel, Viro, DJ 303, Matt Bolick, Perry Anderson, David Hopper (MTV), Jim Carson, Darin Westcott, DJ Lord (Public Enemy), Tone Loc, Seven Mary Three, and more. During Brandis last semester at GSU, she decided to coordinate her first event at Legends Nightclub, called The Battle of the DJs. DJs from all over the country came to compete for prizes and money in one room while headliners played in the main room. On Lady Bs graduation night, she opened up for DJ Rap, at Apres Nightclub in Savannah, GA. Then Lady B joined forces with Technotreff.com (one of her record labels) out in Hollywood, CA for a month, playing at 15 different events at various places. After her return from the West Coast to the East Coast, Lady B decided to move to Tampa, FL after joining forces with Exxodus Entertainment. Now, after living in Tampa for over a year, Lady B has played several events locally and out of state with talents such as Mea, Jen Lasher, Baby Anne, Annalyze, Venus, Linz, Carl Cox, Mark Lewis, DJ Axel, CB4, Mathematix, Jackal and Hyde, SLIP 187, Keith Mackenzie, Agent K, Rick West, DJ 303, Devine and Emily Play, Hiatus, Shakee, Joey G, Steve Chadwick, Bill Hamel, Dave London, Trixie, and more.
