Kinjo (his real name is Bruce Tams) found dance music years ago right in his home town, the city of Chicago. When he was still in school, he bought his first 808 drum machine from a local pawn shop. Where he was influenced by local greats such as Cajmere (Green Velvet), Dajae, and Bad Boy Bill. Later not being satisfied by the drum machine he then hooked up with a group of local DJs and then learned the tricks of the trade. But in his never-ending quest, Kinjo decided to venture into making his very own tracks in hopes that other DJs would spin them, and make his contribution to the genre of House.

It's very difficult to put Kinjo's music into a specific type of dance music genre. It can be seen as hard house or trance, you may even call it house. But whatever you may call it, Kinjo says "it's my journeys in life, it's always changing."
