JoeyR began his love for music as a young kid, but in the 80's and early 90's he was heavily influence by hip-hop and turntablism. It was the sound, cutting, scratching, juggling and crazy techniques that inspired JoeyR to become a Deejay. With influences like Mix Master Mike, Hurricane, Qbert, Jazzy Jeff, just to name a few. During these times JoeyR began to hear more and more about the electronic dance music scene. After being exposed to Dance Music, he then knew what the future was holding for him. It wasn't until this St. Louis native party kid moved to Chicago, did he find the music he was looking for, House Music! He quickly found himself in the mix of Chicago Nightclubs, After Hours Clubs, Underground Parties, Massive Raves, and everything in-between. Very fond of Chicago House, Hard House, Trance, Techno, D&B, Progressive, Jungle, and most genres of music, he always found himself back to House Music.

While being heavily influence and inspired by deejays such as: Bad Boy Bill, Richard Vission, Green Velvet, Paul Anthony, Mixin Marc, Julian Jumpin Parez, Paul Johnson, and many more, he began to fine tune and hone his mixing style. He always plays passionately with smooth transitions, quick mixing, and funky blends of House, Vocal House, Peak Hour, Electro House, Progressive House, and Breaks. As a big supporter of the music and the scene, JoeyR loves to share his desire for good music from around the world, and "to make people dance."

No stranger to the music industry and back in St. Louis, he has shared venues and played along side world renowned DJ's including his most inspirational DJ, Bad Boy Bill. Soon after playing clubs, parties, and special events, JoeyR was quickly known and respected as one of St. Louis' top DJ's. From his peak hour performances, and crowd stomping beats, his friends, family, and fans have kept this DJ moving in the right direction. He is currently working on the production side of dance music and orchestrating his next transitions. When JoeyR is on the decks, you are guaranteed a show to remember. Full of energy, clean mixes, tight skills, wicked effects, good friends, good times, and most importantly, good tunes!
