Joel Armstrong hails from Vancouver. In 2005, Joel went on to release a highly anticipated track on new label Proton Music, called Serenity, a track that Progressive Sounds dubbed 'truly astounding,' and gave a perfect 10/10 review. The following year saw two more of Joel's originals, Park Street and Silvermoon, get picked up by label Babylon Records. In 2006 Joel teamed up with fellow producer, Micah, to help run A&R and remix duties for label Ruhnsong Recordings. A collaborative remix between Micah and Joel, of Baltic Sound's original track Glimmer, saw its way into Markus Schulz Ibiza 06 Mix Compilation.

In spring of 2007, Baroque Records released another of Joel's original works, After Later, which was licensed for use on Shiloh's Elements Mix Compilation. Recent releases by Joel include his edgier sounds in the form of The Jitters on Ascension Records, and Crazy feat. Marcie on System Recordings.

Joel's original works have been remixed by the likes of Shiloh, Micah Lukasewich, Damien Heck, Derek Howell, Bastards of Funk and Sonic Union, Opencloud and Maher Daniel. He in turn has remixed for Micah, Deepsky and Marc Mitchell, Can Costa aka Ricky Ryan, Boom Jinx, Anthony Ross, Jacob Todd, CPM, 3kStatic, Robert M, Royal Sapien and Dumber Recordings.

In 2007, Joel's DJ career took a major step when he became a resident at Victoria's club Hush. He played summer festivals and raves in the US and in western British Columbia. Joel is known for playing energetic progressive/tech house music with driving funky basslines and melodies.

An exciting 2008 sees Joel start his own label, Dot Dot Records, an outlet for his own personal projects. Dot Dot will feature the sounds that can only be described as Techy, Melodic and Chunky House music. Dot Dot also has its own radio show on Proton Radio, airing the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
