DEC. 2003 - A DJ since 1996, JJ got his first true taste of success as a club DJ playing Top 40, Dance, Disco, and Hip-Hop in the Cincinnati and Indianapolis markets while in college. During this two year stint, JJ honed his mixing skills, ability to progress his music throughout the night and his unmistakable talent at reading his dance floor. Having first gotten into electronic music in 1993 when he first started going to Cleveland area raves, JJ was completely drawn to the throbbing basslines and banging drums of underground dance music. While spending most of his weekends DJing, JJ would go out once or twice a month to various raves across the Midwest. Eventually his passion for underground dance, acid house, and the energy of raves themselves compelled JJ to quit his club residencies and move solely into the underground.

After his decision to follow his passions, JJ worked diligently to rise as a DJ, producer, promoter, and record label owner (Groove Reactor Productions in 1998 and Groove Reactor Records in 2000). In that time, JJ has helmed two companies that have had marked success. To date, Groove Reactor Productions has thrown 45+ rave and club events with over 10,000 people attending his various shows. Groove Reactor Records on the other hand has released both vinyl albums and CD Compilations nationally and at the 2002 and 2003 W.M.C.'s in Miami.

JJ's successes as a DJ continue to mount. Recent accomplishments include headlining with Paul Van Dyk & Paul Oakenfold in October and November of 2003, playing at the W.M.C. in Miami 2003, the W.E.M.F. in Canada in 2002, RISE New Year's Eve in 2002 and Live on the Decks 5 in Chicago 2002. His annual tour promoting his yearly mixed CD release GENESIS 2003 was booked in Chicago, Milwaukee, San Francisco, Springfield (MA), Nashville, Miami, Detroit, Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Madison (WI), Louisville, and more. JJ toured in 2002 with Dan Efex and Robbie Hardkiss and in early 2004, he will be going on the "Beat Bangers Tour 2004" with Josh Da Funky 1.

As a producer, JJ has also seen success releasing vinyl albums on his own Groove Reactor as well as Cry Baby Records and Funktion Junktion. His first vinyl album (The Slipstream E.P.) was released at the 2002 W.M.C. and ended up in the crates of Paul Oakenfold and Dave Ralph to name just a few and his recent vinyl techno escape, "Phased & Confused" has already sold out. You can also catch his "Big Room Remix" of Solar Stone's "Seven Cities" as the closing track on GENESIS 2003.

2004 Promises to be an even bigger year for JJ, with his first Groove Reactor vinyl E.P. in nearly 6 months. Groove Reactor is also releasing "Underground Sounds Volume 2" which will feature jungle, hip hop, and broken beat tracks from some of the premiere artists in the underground USA. In addition to that, JJ will be putting out one more track on Funktion Junktion Records in 2004 and will of course be releasing GENESIS Volume 3 in late Spring. In March, the 2004 W.M.C. in Miami will be the releasing point of "This Is My Acid" - a 4/4 acid-tech stomper on GR Records. This will be JJ's anticipated follow up to the best selling Groove Reactor Album to date, "Phased & Confused." Most recent, JJ has been asked to be a part of Spundae's (www.spundae.com) world-renowned club nights with co-headlining shows in Cleveland and Las Vegas and he is also a resident for one of the top Midwest club nights - Ritual Experience (www.ritualexperience.com).
