After several years of experience in some of the most varied clubs in Portugal and the rest of Europe, Jalex has adopted a unique style which explores the cosmic side of dance music, bringing disco and house inspired sessions as well as varieties of hypnotic music, tearing up venues such as Lux Frgil, Alcntara mar, Club Lua, Clube Mercado, Indstria, Bazaar, Portorio, Fashion Club, Optimus open air ,Coconuts and Tamariz.

He has played alongside artists such as Jazzanova, Scratch Perverts, Nitin Sawhney, Rainer Truby, Kid Loco, Yen Sung, Rodney Hunter, Carl Craig, London Elektricity, Nicola Conte, Asian Dub Foundation, Recloose, Telepathique, Dj Cosmo, Richard Dorfmeister and Skitz & Rodney P amongst others including residencies at Bazaar in Porto and Clubs Lua, Mercado and Music Box in Lisbon.

On the production tip he remixed Portuguese biggest hip hop group, Da Weasels hit single Re-tratamento in 2004 followed by 1-UIK Projects Em nome do pai. Also count numerous collaborations such as the theatre soundtrack with Yen Sung for the play A Casa by Petra Viana in 2005. Currently remixing Canadian artist Andrea Revels single White Noise as well as Brazilian artist Carla Alexanders Sambamuffin on April Records an EP is lined up for the summer of 2007 featuring collaborations by artists such as Melo D amongst others.
