IDENTITY
All across North America, the driving performance, and vast musical styles of Melissa Parker (also known as DJ Identity, or ID3NTITY as now known) has been seen and heard. Since 1998 Melissa has been spinning out. Though the beginning of her career was slow, and her performances were scarce, throughout the years, she managed to build a large fan base across the northeast, and perform in virtually every major city in the northeast, mid west, and eastern sections of Canada including provinces Quebec, and New Brunswick, as well as Melbourne and Sydney Australia. Having been introduced and raised into the electronic music scene by local underground promoters in Maine, Melissa learned all aspects of the scene, from the culture itself, to the art of djing, as well as promoting. Melissa's dedication to the scene led her to create a world known crew called the New England Rave Union (newenglandraveunion) which gave New England DJs the chance to get out of the bedroom, and perform live at clubs and massives, both locally, and internationally. She along with well known local crews in New England collaborated as a family, and threw some of the greatest underground events. Crews like Joyful Productions, Drive It Like Ya Stole It, and One Luv Productions, gave helping hands with Melissa and the NERU in throwing one of New England's most memorable events, "Skyscape" in 2004 and 2006. As well as her promoting, Melissa became an exceptional DJ, learning the art itself by watching only. Melissa's primary style of UK Hard House, and Hard Dance have given her compliments as one of the best female Hard Dance DJs in North America. Her driving performances are unbeatable, and her crowd interaction is unforgettable. Besides Hard Dance, Melissa is an exceptional Drum and Bass DJ and turntablist. When moving out to the midwest, she pursued drum and bass, and taught herself the art of turntablism, which now turns heads during every performance in any style including her Hard Dance. From cross scratching, to scratching behind her back, fader, line and channel work, eq work, and that "a look when performing, it is very hard not to stare. Regardless of her history, Melissa is an excellent performer, dj, and friend, and is a must see at events across the globe.
