Behind the trademark devil's horns or baseball hat that you more than likely will see on DJ Hellfyre's head when he is spinning, there lies something even more deep and dark, not quite sinister, but not innocent either. Hellfyre's career began spinning at parties at Dartmouth College, when he was an undergrad. After college, he returned to his hometown of Rochester, NY, where he moved on to spinning Gothic and Industrial at Idols and Club Zero. His love for underground dance music continued to grow, but it was not until he went over to travel and live for a short period in Europe that he truly realized how powerful his love for dance music would become. "I went to the clubs in Paris and London and realized that there was a whole other world out there that I had no idea existed and I desperately wanted to be involved in it. Unfortunately at the time, I was broke, so I had to put my passion on hold until I could return to the states, get a job and get the money to start buying records and turntables." Eventually, DJ Hellfyre ended up in Minneapolis, where he began to build a name for himself spinning at several parties and events. Hellfyre began to spin at several University of Minnesota events as well as several smaller bars and clubs around the Twin Cities. It was here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes that Hellfyre built his signature hypnotic style of progressive house, trance and breaks. Hellfyre is a man of many faces. This nature of duality, of Ying and Yang, is never more evident than when you listen to DJ Hellfyre spin one of his sets. In the spirit of the supernatural and all those "things that go bump in the night," that DJ Hellfyre seems to be so found of, there is one word that fits his sets and that is....Spellbinding. His style of melodic progressive house and breaks lures you in and before you know it, you are entangled in a web of sound that spins you around, makes you move, but does not let you go. DJ Hellfyre is infectious, from the horns on his head, to the music that he spins. He has been stunning audiences with his infectious blends of music. Most recently, he was selected as the first ever headline DJ for the Atlanta Pride Festival and played a dazzling three-hour set on the Q Television Stage. In the meantime, DJ Hellfyre has been signed to Transmission X Sound Works, which has currently released his first promotional CD, "Sinister Seduction." He is currently about to embark on a small tour playing club venues and festivals. DJ Hellfyre excites the audience with his energy behind the turntables. He will definitely turn the heat up on any place that he spins, so look out for this up and coming DJ!!
