For Tobi (da GREED) WIRZ, the man behind SOGrecords (SOGchrome and SOGliquid) 2004 will perhaps be his largest year yet. In the 12 months to the end of 2004, he will have released 12 (TWELVE!!) originals and remixes on labels ranging from VAPOUR, LOST LANGUAGE, FEED ME and of course SOG. His GREED FEAT LESLEY "WATCH" has been on rotation on Swiss national radio and is now being considered for the next COKE LIGHT commercial. To cap it all off, it has now been taken up for an MTV film clip in collaboration with WARNER Switzerland's DJ ENERGY.

On the live front, when da GREED dons the bass (he has a 17 year history in everything from heavy metal to jazz bands and is currently bassist for the Swiss heavy metal band DUALITY OF MIND), the exotic Swiss/Egyptian/American Lesley Meguid still joins him on stage with that intoxicating voice of hers and long time drummer friend Lukas Landis.

Their unique brand of dance music with real instruments has garnered them praise from every corner (as most have not realized that this has been possible) with requests for gigs coming from all corners of the world…

Having spent the last several years developing their own unique sound, each forthcoming releases is becoming increasingly more song-based and musical rather than straight out throbbing dance tunes; each track is becoming more experimental with their trip hop elements or distinctive beats.

Did I just hear the word ALBUM? It's in the making for 2005. Stay tuned.

Tobias Wirz, the name behind SOG Records and GREED wrapped up 2002 by signing his entire catalogue to WINDSWEPT PACIFIC – the same publishers as one Paul Oakenfold and a rare feat for underground producers such as GREED.

Having spent the last several years developing his own unique production sound, 2003 will already be looked upon as a new and very special chapter for GREED. With each of the forthcoming releases - I SEE YOU, CITY LIGHTS, WATCH and TEA – each track is becoming increasingly more song-based and musical rather than straight out throbbing dance tunes; each track is becoming more experimental with their trip hop elements or distinctive beats.

GREED started life as an UNDERWORLD inspired live act with the full medley of members such that when GREED take to the stage today, it still blows out to a full 5 members including drummer, keyboards and singer. Indeed there are already standing comparisons to the in-form KOSHEEN.
