GIULIANO MARTINI
His artistic journey begins with dj set at various clubs and discos in Frosinone county (LA FABBRICA, BLUES BAR,EASY LIFE, ATOR DISCO) where he shortly became well-known for his unconventional mix of House, R?nB, Soul and some kinky Funk. In his suitcase some precious vinyls labelled Salsoul and Casablanca Records. Ralphy Rosario, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humpries along with glorious James Brown, Barry White, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Loleatta Holloway and the unique sound of bands such as Chic, H.W. & F., D.C. La Rue and Trammps, eventually drive him more and more into the disco- and house music. In 1999 he moves to Rome where he starts working for the most lively clubs of the capital such as ALIEN, EGON DISCO, GILDA, GOA, LA SAPONERIA, LOFT AND LA SUITE. It's spring 2004 when he plays a major role in the management of the one-night events by Doom at Ator Disco (Frosinone), with the special closing night "Subliminal Party" where he stands at the consolle with dj guest Todd Gardner. During this experience he makes acquaintance with dj Mimmo Errico and Umberto Pagliaroli and starts a lucky partnership that still goes on at Auxilya Staff. 2004 and 2005 are generous of new events in the capital city and various sets in central Italy (BUSSOLA CLUB, S.Felice Circeo; SOTTOSOPRA, Frosinone; KENTA(ex FABRICA), Isola Liri; COTTON CLUB Cervia) and the special participation at the "Check-in Tour WMC Edition 2005" during the WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE at the National Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. Starting Autumn 2005 he begins a successful collaboration with the Roman management agency Glitter that leads to the consolle at COSMOPOLITAN, MERCATI GENERALI, LINUX CLUB, OASI DISCO CLUB in Ostia Lido. In Winter 2006/2007 he is dj resident in the "House History" space at FAKE in Testaccio (Rome), along with Flavio Rago, Luca Cucchetti, Claudio De Tommasi, Mimmo Errico and Marco Rea at the consolle of the "Screwdriver" party. Summer 2007 features him at Open Bar in Ostia Lido on the Friday nights program "Lighthouse", side by side with Serge Santiago, Pig&Dan, Mathias Schaffhauser, Boosta, and Alex Neri. Recently he can be heard at Radio Centro Suono Roma within the format GLOBAL CUT (myspace.com/globalcut1013), on air every Saturday night from midnight to 7 am, and gives his contribution to the program EVOLUTION CLUB at Radio Day (evolutionclub.it) , on air every week-end from 9 pm to midnight. His track, "The Jungle", produced with Mimmo Errico, Umberto Pagliaroli and Michael Perrotta, was released on Antibe Music compilation "House Family 11" under the pseudonymous of ManIceDub, soon followed by 'Rolling Bass' on House Family 12. He is presently working at Auxilya, a discographic project at its third release (myspace.com/auxilya).
