Born in Paris, DJ and Producer Frank Maurel moved to Portugal at the age of 14 and became one of the hottest names and true pioneers of the club and rave scene. He is co-founder of Lajja Recordings and promoted the first underground club parties in the north of Portugal.
Being a resident at Porto's city club Rock's, he shared the decks with some of the worlds top artist. His sets at Pacha, Vaticano club, Alcantara Mar, Locomia, O2, Paradise Garage and South Planet became mythical. Frank blew the roof off clubs like Rex and Folies Pigales in Paris, Kapital & Deep in Madrid and Womb in Tokyo.
Frank Maurel is one of the top producers in Portugal, with releases on international labels such as Stereo and Subliminal.
