Forrest started out mixing Acid House and minimal Techno in 1996, and quickly started expanding into other styles of electronic music. By 1998 he was throwing down sets of Funky House, Techno, Breaks, Jungle, and Hip-Hop. It was in 1999 that he started building a reputation for playing groovy sets of Downbeats and Trip-Hop incorporated with his now found passion for Turntablism in local chill rooms, lounges, and bars.

Since moving to Portland in 2002 Forrest has held residencies at various local night spots including Greek Cusina, Madame Butterfly, Ohm, Level, Lush, and MuMus. He has played in a variety of environments and moved crowds with just about anything you can slap on a turntable.

Forrest has built an impressive resume playing at events with world class acts such as Derek Carter, Ak-1200, East Coast Boogiemen, Dieselboy, Miles Maeda, Dj P, Juan Atkins, Kaskade, Rithma, Jay Tripwire, Lawnchair Generals, and Doc Martin. He has proven his versatility, by being able to do everything from hyping up the dance floor, to holding down the mellow groovy side of things in the chill room.

Most recently Forrest has branched out into working as the Turntablist for a live PA known as Gradual Meltdown, and a local Hip-Hop act known as Formatting Minds. He has always looked at the turntable as an instrument, and seeks to defy any idea that DJs are not musicians. Deeply committed to progressing the art of Djing, Forrest is always putting together mixes that will appeal to dancers and listeners alike.
