FELIX DEL BARCO

Felix Del Barco's passion for electronic music began in the early 90's, while he lived in the United States. During his stay, he learned to understand and appreciate the music styles of important DJs like: Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Steve Lawler, Digweed, Chris Fortier, George Acosta, Oscar G among other South Beach residents. Subsequently, Felix began playing at local dances and small parties. His first residency was in Playa Jaco, Costa Rica at a disco bar called "Fusion". This eventually led to his now regular appearances at foremost Costa Rican clubs such as: Vertigo, Lubnam and Frankie Go. After some time, he initiated his stint at Disco Bar "El Yos", where aside from playing he heads the organization of parties with Costa Rican and International DJs. His Tribal Progressive style has helped him evolve into one of the most influential names in the electronic scene. His characteristic sound of timbals and drums with progressive rhythms has evolved and developed into a 3 turntable set with CD players and the Kaoss Pad Sampler. As a result of this dedication, Felix has been able to share turntables across Central America with top International DJs such as: Paul Oakenfold, Max Graham, Sandra Collins, Bill Patrick, Nic Franchulli, Mistress Barbara, Francis Davila, Sean Sullivan, Tekes, Mauricio De Sostoa, Tini Tun, Quecho, Parlange, Jorge Carrillo, Tom Sawyer, Nigel Mac, Antonio Diaz, Max Manzur, Rachelle DJ, Fabio Garces and Aaron Wells. In Costa Rica, he has played with the best DJs in the electronic scene. In the beginning of 2003, Felix headlined Mexico City’s "El Colmillo" with a host of other recognized DJs. Of late he has been regular in the Panama City scene playing in clubs such as: PTY, Deep Room, Wasabi Lounge, Traffic Calle 50, Next and Play. Not satisfied with his noted success, Felix is now making his name felt as a producer.
