Heading one of the last generations of South American DJ's is Farid Saavedra.

This Chilean-Israeli accounts for a more than ten years experience behind the decks that put him to share the stage aside DJ's as Jerome Pacman, Fumiya Tanaka, James Zabiela, Red Jerry, Ricardo Villalobos, Romina Cohn, Steve Lawler, Adam Beyer, Eddie Richards, Jay Tripwire and Richie Hawtin at places such as Universum Lounge, Electric Terrace, Turnmills, Pacha, Cafeteria and World DJ's Day & Techno Parade Festivals to name a few.

Man of letters, architect and expert oenophile, he has the capacity to deconstruct any object to its more essential aesthetical values and transmute them into pieces of immeasurable artistic value. Actually in retirement state from dance music, Farid is focused in approach other areas from arts and culture, but the need to redefine himself as individual being thought realize his inquietudes as DJ, an essential part of himself, makes him comeback into dance music creative stream.

There's not place to doubt that 2008 is a year that comes with great changes and novelties for his career as his new project as DJ and producer, Last Achaemenid Prince, surely will give something to talk in the dance floor worldwide, exploring new boundaries for Techno music through the inclusion of characteristic elements of some of the most ancient civilizations representative music, contemporary popular folklore and vocal experimentation as well as a continuous exploration of the new formats of music creation and performance, and a growing activism to make artist go beyond the commercial release of their work and collate it with the edition of free complimentary works thru net labels.
