FACU CARRI

Since the beginnings of Acid House, Facundo Carri Pérez took an active part in the electronic music movement of his home-town, Córdoba, both as a VJ, a producer, and as a promoter of musical events. However, it was in the mid-nineties, while developing projects and businesses in the information technology field, that he began taking his first steps as a DJ.

Encouraged by Cristobal Paz, he found in music a hobby that wouldn't take long to offer him a professional path: three years later he got his first residency at La Sala club alongside Simbad.

Nurturing himself with the representatives of American House and Garage, in 1998 Facu travels to New York where he finds his biggest influence: Danny Tenaglia. By then, his name was settling down in the Cordoba scene through his sets at the club El Rey and his incursions in the Buenos Aires scene were gaining relevance. Such was the case that in the beginning of 2000 he becomes part of the Clubland staff, the international profile act at Pacha on Saturdays which led him to perform next to Hernan Cattaneo and Javier Zuker, two pillars of the national electronic music.

Identified with Tribal House, Facu shared the booth with important characters of the world scope such as Nick Warren, Steve Lawler, Saeed and Palash, Satoshi Tomiie and even Tenaglia himself, amongst others. As well, from his career it stands out his taking part in the three editions of the Creamfields BA festival.

Manifesting his interest for the genre in other areas as well, he was part of the production crew of the parties Multimedia Anuales, at the Göethe Institute, and he presented in a multidisciplinary exhibition at the Centro Cultural España his research work The influence of video-games of the 80s in electronic music.

Currently, Facu alternates between his residency at the club Lokitas (Cordoba) and his monthly visits to Mar del Plata, Bariloche, Usuahia and Comodoro Rivadavia, performing as well in different cities of Uruguay. Similarly, he maintains his contact with the Buenos Aires audience at Clubland and through his Late Night radio section on Metrodance 95.1.
